Hall in Tirol

Hall is a secret treasure and a MUST of your discovery of the Tyrol. The Old Town of Hall is one of the world' s largest preserved ensembles of historical buildings.

In 1303 Duke Otto granted the town charter to Hall, demonstrating the importance of the town, as right here salt was turned into gold. 10 million tons of salt were mined in the Hall valley, which were then transported along the river Inn. The old station was right beside the Gasthof Badl and ships had to stop in Hall by law.
